NDIS in Practice
Making the benefits of the NDIS loud and clear for providers.
NDS and Think HQ developed the site to appeal to a variety of audiences and job levels within each topic.
The NDIS Sector Development Project (SDP) was all about giving disability service providers throughout Victoria the resources they needed to operate well in the new environment created by the transition to the national disability insurance scheme.
In 2019, its final year, there was anxiety that all the work would disappear, so Think HQ worked with the NDS to create NDIS in Practice, a website to collate and host all of the best practice tools, resources and case studies created by the SDP.
NDIS in Practice was a legacy piece for the Sector Development Project — ensuring the project continued on to build the capacity of Victoria’s disability service providers after the transition to the NDIS.
The website was built to:
- House real example of SDP good practice and tips;
- Provide a contextual picture of the NDIS transition in Victoria;
- Support organisations to be sustainable, flexible and person-centred;
- Have an interactive design that inspires, and;
- Functionality that connects.
NDS and Think HQ developed the site to appeal to a variety of audiences and job levels within each topic. The suite included a range of mediums including video, audio, written and practical tools.
The website was built, on time and on budget. It was a highly collaborative relationship between Think HQ and NDS.
By prioritising user experience and accessible design, Think HQ was able to create a lasting repository for the best of the SDP.
The result is a clean, resource-rich website that is still being used today by providers across Victoria.
