Bridging culture
and care
Australian Government Department of Health, Disability, and Ageing
(DoHDA)
When the Australian Government needed to reimagine the Free Aged Care Translation Service, we made sure accessibility was more than a promise.
Deliverables
Translated materials
Taking requests from across the country, we created an ecosystem that connects aged care providers with over 200 NAATI-certified translators.
Working across 79 languages (from Arabic to Farsi to Traditional Chinese), our team translates and designs essential documents including contracts and advocacy tool kits.
Layouts are refined so meaning never gets lost in formatting. Accessibility is treated as a value add, not an afterthought. And because many readers live with dementia or low literacy, we offered Plain English and Easy English services.
Still ongoing, the project continues to prove that when information is accessible, care becomes more equitable.
