The brief

The Jean Hailes Women’s Health Survey is an annual national study designed to better understand the health information needs and behaviours of women living in Australia. These findings inform the work of the Jean Hailes Foundation and Women’s Health Week, allowing them to better target specific health needs most relevant to women in Australia.
Think HQ assisted Jean Hailes in creating a suite of communications products to complement this important study — with the challenge of reaching and engaging more Australians than ever before. The suite of products included the design and development of a high-impact microsite showcasing the survey results.

Idea

Think HQ’s initial efforts were to translate the survey data into narrative elements. Our content team worked together with Jean Hailes in tailoring the message around the results, preparing the final content structure, outline and copywriting.

Once a content structure was approved, Think HQ conducted UX research, culminating with the presentation and approval of sitemaps and wireframes, followed by the User Interface Design.

Using Javascript, our development team created interactive charts for each of the survey results. These elements would form the main digital assets of the microsite, which was later developed as a hardcoded HTML5/CSS3/Javascript project without the need of a content management system. The microsite had a suite of shareable elements to enhance social media engagement.

Outcomes

Think HQ worked on the Jean Hailes Women’s Health microsite from conception to delivery, managing all aspects of project development. The microsite launched in two stages: media-restricted access to support the Public Relations team leading up to the Women’s Health Week launch event in August 2017, followed by the fully accessible website for the general public.
