Think HQ and Adventure Park Geelong embarked together on a transformative journey to redevelop the Adventure Park's website. Our goal was to elevate the user experience to global standards, streamline content management, seamlessly integrate varied park events, and establish a robust technical architecture to handle high-traffic scenarios, ultimately enhancing sales conversion rates.

The brief

Adventure Park, a popular destination known for its Water Park, Christmas Lights, and Winter Glow events, required a website that not only captivates visitors but also allows easy content updates and withstands peak traffic periods.

Approach

Working in close alliance with the Adventure Park team, we conducted thorough research to understand their requirements and the specific challenges faced by their primary audience - families planning a day out, particularly mothers orchestrating the adventure.

Our user experience (UX) strategy was meticulously crafted to address key stages in the customer journey:

  • Dreaming Phase: Here, potential visitors envision the memorable experiences awaiting them at the park.
  • Planning Phase: We focused on providing detailed information about park amenities for a hassle-free visit.
  • Booking Phase: We simplified the ticket selection process, enhancing user confidence and clarity.

In terms of design, we employed a headless architecture using Strapi CMS for its dual advantages:

The API-driven content delivery enabled us to create three single-page applications using Tailwind UI, offering immersive landing pages for each park segment.

The CMS's flexibility allowed for easy page construction using pre-designed blocks from our extensive component library.

Outcomes

The revamped website delivers a visually stimulating experience for both new and repeat visitors. Users can now explore the park through rich media content, optimizing their journey at every stage - from dreaming about cabanas and rides to planning their visit with concise, well-organized information. The ticket selection process has been streamlined for confidence and ease.

The use of a headless architecture not only enhanced content delivery but also ensured optimal website performance year-round, supported by our AWS load-balancing architecture.

The newly designed website for Adventure Park stands as a testament to our commitment to delivering world-class digital experiences. It's not just a website; it's a gateway to adventure, ease, and confidence for families seeking memorable experiences.
