Mapping Social Cohesion 2019

For the ninth year running, we’re proud to have launched this year’s Mapping Social Cohesion Report for the Scanlon Foundation. The annual research series has been unpacking Australian attitudes towards social cohesion issues like immigration, multiculturalism and trust in government for the last twelve years.

Our PR, creative, digital, and content teams worked together to deliver an integrated campaign, using social media, targeted media relations and launch events to inform the policy makers and the broader community about this year’s results.

In an Australian-first, we also created the Scanlon Foundation Research Institute Migration Dashboard — a single source of truth for current migration statistics.

Our work included:

  • Planning and managing a national launch event in Melbourne, attended by more than 160 people
  • Organising key Federal MP and government department briefings with report author Professor Andrew Markus in Canberra
  • Overseeing all media relations activity, which led to quality coverage secured in outlets including the AFR, SBS, ABC Radio 774, AAP and The Australian
  • Development of the Scanlon Foundation Research Institute website, and the 2019 Mapping Social Cohesion Report microsite to tell the story of this year’s results. We wrote the website content, designed and built the website, and scripted and produced all animated video content on the site
