Yarra Valley Water Waste to Energy

Explaining Yarra Valley Water’s new cutting-edge renewable energy facility.

To highlight this early success, YVW was looking for a way to promote the plant — including how it works, and what it was achieving — to key stakeholders including industry partners, potential commercial customers and the local community.

In 2017, Yarra Valley Water (YVW) opened “ReWaste”, a cutting-edge facility that converts commercial food waste into clean, renewable energy.

Within 18 months of opening, the plant had generated
positive, tangible outcomes for both the environment and YVW customers, proving that sustainability projects could also be commercially viable.

To highlight this early success, YVW was looking for a way to promote the plant — including how it works, and what it was achieving — to key stakeholders including industry partners, potential commercial customers and the local community.

Think HQ proposed creating a short video that would explain the plant's complicated energy conversion process — and its outcomes — in a way that was clear, simple and engaging. Using a mix of live action, animated infographics, and drone footage, the video would feature interviews with key YVW personnel to highlight key successes of the plant.  Working with YVW, Think HQ developed a video script and storyboard, interview questions, recorded and edited footage, and developed all animated content.
