Shanaka is a creative programmer/developer, excelling in front-end development.
Shanaka is well versed in PHP, JavaScript (React), C#, Java, CSS, and SQL languages, as well as in Wordpress, Drupal and Grav Content Management Systems. Shanaka is also experienced in Amazon Web Services.
He has created engaging visual websites for clients including the Social Research Centre, Worksafe, Lumin and the Transport Accident Commission.
Shanaka has worked extensively with the Scanlon Foundation, developing both a purpose-built microsite to house the findings of their 2018 Mapping Social Cohesion report and creating an animated ebook to showcase their “All of Us” photography and video exhibition which was a celebration of our multicultural diversity.
He was also responsible for developing a microsite for the Social Research Centre to house the results of the Life in Australia Historic Events Survey.
Prior to joining Think HQ, Shanaka worked as a full stack developer, working across Drupal, Wordpress, Codelgniter and Node.js.
Shanaka holds a Master of Information Technology at Deakin University, where he achieved High Distinctions in Software Development and Cyber Security. Complementary to his development skills, Shanaka holds a Diploma in Graphic Design and a Diploma in Web Design.
