    Meet Louisa

    “I wanted to work for a company that focussed on driving social change with purpose-led clients,” says Louisa Moy, on her new role at Think HQ.

    Louisa has joined Think HQ as a Digital Marketing Specialist, bringing agency experience across Australian and European markets, working with the Federal Government, IBM and Medibank. She possesses a deep understanding of the power data provides in shaping long-term digital strategies that work.

    At Think HQ, she will lead and develop digital marketing campaigns, including digital strategy and social media advertising. She holds a Bachelor of International Relations from Monash University and a Master of Brand Strategy and Marketing from Sup de Pub in France.     Digital Video: 5 Things to think about when advertising across SVOD platforms

    The world of TV and video content viewing is changing rapidly. While Free-to-Air TV’s numbers have been steadily in decline the last few years, Australians have never watched so much video content.

    This is down to the rise of Streaming Video on Demand (SVOD) across catch-up TV, paid streaming services like Netflix, social platforms like Youtube and Facebook, with connected, internet-enabled TVs now commonplace in our homes and mobile video consumption soaring.

    My internship so far...

    Choosing an organisation to complete an internship with is a big decision, I see my first internship as the starting point of my public relations journey. I was looking for an organisation that allowed me to gain practical experience working on projects I am passionate about. Think HQ’s internship program stood out as they offer an opportunity to research a line of enquiry and create content while working with organisations that have a positive social impact.

    On my first day, the whole team made me feel welcome, and the new workplace nerves quickly subsided. During my placement so far at Think HQ I have been developing copy, scheduling social media content and preparing media lists. I am using the skills I have acquired during my studies and learning to use specialist programs that are essential in the public relations industry.

    Think HQ Account Coordinator Jade Delios Callanan shares her experience attending this year’s VidCon.

    At VidCon 2018 it wasn’t uncommon to hear the term, ‘as an influencer…’ when someone was giving their answer to a question.

    Most of the content creators or influencers on the panels had followings in the hundreds of thousands to millions, but it turns out that when it comes to using social platforms for a cause, smaller followings can have the greatest impact.

    At the 'Social Media to Social Change' panel moderated by Tara Gosling, PR & Content Coordinator at JustGiving with Anna Akana, Hank Green and Caspar Lee, it kept coming back to the impact of micro influencers.
